Congratulations to Jenna Altherr Flores who has been awarded a Confluence Graduate Fellowship for the 2017-2018 academic year!

It is with deep sadness that we linform you of the sudden and unexpected passing of Tami Boyens recently. We do not have details on the circumstances of her passing at this time. Tami had recently published her novel and was planning on completing her doctorate this year.  She will be missed by many as a great friend and colleague.  Tamara  was a beloved member of the SLAT community and a friend and colleague to many in Tucson. Please come and celebrate her life at a memorial service and reception held in her honor on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Rincon Room in the Student Union Memorial Center. This memorial is intended for her friends and colleagues. Come and join with friends of Tami as we reflect on her light, her life, and the impact she had on the world. For the many friends, students, faculty, and alumni who are not able to attend the service and reception in Tucson, we have plans to stream the service live on our Facebook page:  www.facebook.com/ArizonaSLAT/
