Hi! My name is Diego Fernando Macias. I was born and raised in Colombia. I completed my B.A. and my specialization in English as a Foreign Language Teaching at Universidad Surcolombiana in Neiva, Colombia. I received M.A. degrees in English and TESOL from Governors State University in the U.S. and from the University of Brighton in the U.K., respectively. I have worked as a Spanish language teacher in the U.S. and as an EFL teacher and teacher educator in my home country for about 15 years. My research interests include, but are not limited to, teacher education, training and development, the development and learning of oral skills through the use of web-based technologies, and the teaching of English as a Lingua Franca. I am also a Fulbright graduate student with a passion for languages, reading, and playing table-tennis.
