Panelists: Dr. Beatrice Dupuy, Kate Mackay, and Mariana Centanin Bertho
Moderator: Nina Conrad, 4th-year SLAT Ph.D. Candidate
Dr. Beatrice Dupuy is Co-Director of CERCLL, and a Professor in the French & Italian Department, the Public & Applied Humanities Department, and the SLAT Program. Her research focuses on instantiation of multiliteracies approaches in Foreign Language curricula and instruction, the professional learning of Foreign Language teachers framed within these approaches, and collaborative meaning-making through digital social annotated reading and viewing.
As Associate Director of CERCLL, Kate Mackay designs professional development opportunities for K-16 educators, and supports administration of language pedagogy and research projects funded by CERCLL's Language Resource Center grant.
Mariana Centanin Bertho is a 3rd-year Ph.D. student in SLAT. She was awarded the CERCLL Graduate Fellowship in 2021 to develop listening and speaking materials for the Portuguese Program. She has also presented CERCLL webinars with the MACAWS research team.
