Many SLAT students travel to conferences throughout the year. All students traveling to conferences, research, and/or representing the University of Arizona are required to complete the Travel Authorization Form prior to travel. For details and information on the Travel Authorization form, click here.
SLAT students may apply for departmental funding for travel to conferences or other professional development opportunities. Travel funds are awarded competitively to students who will present their research or participate in job interviews at the event. First and second authors are prioritized over authors appearing lower in the list of contributors. Maximum funding for conference travel is $400 for domestic travel, and up to $600 for international travel. Students must apply to at least one other funding source to be eligible for SLAT travel funding. Students may apply for travel funding once per academic year. For details and information regarding applying for SLAT Travel funds, click here.
Faculty Recommendations may be made by clicking here: Faculty Recommendation Form.

SLAT provides separate funding for research support or travel to multiple events for students on the job market. Please contact GIDP-SLAT@email.arizona.edu for details on additional funding opportunities.
