Come learn how to write a successful grant application!

When
3 – 5 p.m., Nov. 13, 2026

Join SLAT for a workshop on successful grant and fellowship application writing! This workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Ken McAllister, Associate Dean of Research and Program Innovation in the College of Humanities and a faculty member in the Department of English, the Department of Public & Applied Humanities, and the SLAT Program.

Some of the topics to be discussed are how to identify funding opportunities, what to pay close attention to on the application, how to write a clear and persuasive narrative with clear goals and timelines, how to show the significance of their project, budget-building essentials, what reviewers look for, and what kinds of proposals do and don't get funded. Dr. McAllister will also be able to answer your questions.
